The RAJ ECO FARMS, in which a farmer serves as representative, puts special importance on organic farming from the standpoint of farmers, and has been promoting organic farming since 2000.

With the partnership with the RAJ ECO FARMS, it is now possible to manage this Pre-Organic Cotton Program, visiting Indian farms, meeting the cotton producers and hearing their complaints and laments. In the management of individual cotton farms, we provide guidance and assistance so that they can obtain certification from CONTROL UNION, the world certification authority for organic cotton. Thus, we ensure production of high-quality organic cotton.
Pre-Organic Cotton is certified by CONTROL UNION as agrichemical-free gtransitional cotton,h or cotton in transition to organic cotton. If this gtransitional cottonh status can be maintained for three years, the cotton is then certified as organic cotton.
- Spinning -
We tied up with PATSPIN INDIA with respect to spinning. Harvested cotton is made into yarn at PATSPIN INDIAfs spinning mill. About 20.5% of electricity needed in the mill is generated by nine windmills owned by the company. PATSPIN INDIA pays attention to environmental conservation by gspinning cotton with the help of wind energy.h The COTTON UNION-certified spinning mill produces cotton yarn of high reliability.

We will join our efforts for the promotion of pre-organic cotton in every step from raw materials to finished products and even involving brand business, taking advantage of ITOCHUfs experience in local distribution and business operation in India as well as in the Japanese fashion market.
